Testing laboratory of the Scientific Centre of Ceramics under the VNIISTROM – Accreditation Certificate No. РОСС RU.0001.21СА65 issued for the period from November 02, 2010 up to November 02, 2015 – carries our independent tests of construction materials including certification tests.
The priority trend of the Association’s activities being elaboration of standards, regulations and specifications for the ceramic materials industry, foundation of the test laboratory equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment (such as a test hydraulic press with the maximum rated load of 2,500 kN and base plates having the dimensions increased up to 550×500 mm; an abrasion-testing machine), enables:
- to receive experimental characteristics for a wide range of products starting from large-sized stones to clinker bricks, including the ones used for sidewalks paving;
- to conduct comparative tests, including tests according to the methods envisaged by the European norms.

The machine is designed for testing
- wearing properties in accordance with GOST 13087-81 (concrete, paving slabs, clinker bricks);
- wear resistances of unglazed ceramic tiles in accordance with GOST 27180-2001.
Test presses are designed for ultimate load definition at construction products tests for compression or bend (using a special device). Measured force, loading speed and maximum value of loading are visualized in absolute units (kN) on the digital display.
